The University of Manitoba Matcha Club (UMMC) is a student-led community built around a shared love for matcha, creativity, and connection. We create spaces for students to meet new people, discover local matcha vendors, and enjoy unique experiences both on and off campus.
From matcha pop-ups and café outings to workshops, collaborations, live DJs, and community events, our goal is to make campus life feel a little more social, creative, and memorable. Whether you’re a longtime matcha lover or just curious to try it for the first time, UMMC is a place to sip, connect, and be part of something growing.

Our Matcha, Our Community
Born from a shared love for matcha and community, the University of Manitoba Matcha Club (UMMC) is more than just a student club — it’s a space built around accessibility, connection, and supporting local businesses. By bringing local matcha vendors directly to campus, we make it easier for students to enjoy quality matcha without having to travel off campus or go out of their way.
At the same time, UMMC gives local vendors a unique opportunity to introduce their products to the university community, connect with new customers, and grow their presence on campus. Through pop-ups, collaborations, café-style events, and workshops, we aim to make matcha more accessible while creating memorable experiences that bring students and local businesses together.
